Peter Aiken

Peter Aiken is an acknowledged Data Management thought leaders and authority. As a practicing data consultant, professor, author, speaker, and researcher, he has studied and contributed to the fundamentals of Data Management for more than 30 years.  Peter has earned international recognition by assisting more than 150 organizations in 30 countries, including some of the world's largest and most influential organizations. He is a dynamic speaker, author of 10 books and even more publications, including his latest book, Data Strategy and the Enterprise Data Executive. Peter also hosts the longest running and most successful webinar series dedicated to Data Management, hosted by dataversity.net, and titled 'Data-Ed Online'. This series of monthly data management webinars focuses on how to unlock business value through data management practices and techniques.

 

In 1999, Peter founded Data Blueprint to deliver practical application of his data management perspectives and expertise. Data Blueprint is a consulting firm that helps organizations leverage data for profit, improvement, competitive advantage and operational efficiencies. Peter is also Associate Professor of Information Systems at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), past President of the International Data Management Association (DAMA-I) and Associate Director of the MIT International Society of Chief Data Officers.

Todd Harbour

Todd Harbour is the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Broad Creek, LLC. Prior to this, Todd was the Chief Data Officer (CDO) for New York State, where he orchestrated work to design and implement a data management regime for the Empire State. Todd’s work included developing a data governance strategy, framework, and roadmap, defining a unified information architecture, realizing master data, coordinating data sharing, and establish a state-wide data analytics community of practice.

Todd was also a senior federal government official based in the Washington DC metropolitan area, where he led work to establish data strategies, business frameworks, and data management platforms, which helped provide a reliable basis for answering questions from Congress and organizational leaders. Previously, Todd served as senior vice president at FGM Inc., a software and systems engineering corporation in Northern Virginia.

Todd is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), Scrum Master (CSM), and Chief Information Officer (CIO) with the Project Management Institute and National Defense University, respectively. Todd is also a certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) and Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP) with the Data Management Association (DAMA). Todd currently holds 4 graduate degrees in information systems, project management, business administration, and government information leadership.
